Zhang Bo was born in November 1969 in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, in the northeast of China, to an extremely ordinary peasant family. Unfortunately, he suffered from polio when he was three years old, causing lifelong physical disability. Did not go to school, but is ingenious and good at specializing in research. In 2015, he participated in the reed painting training class organized by the Daqing Labor and Employment Service Station for the Disabled. He has no basis in painting. With a perseverance and tenacity, after hard study, he successfully graduated with excellent grades and outstanding works. Since then embarked on the road of art. In order to observe the flowers and trees, Zhang Bo once shook his wheelchair and went to places several kilometers and dozens of kilometers to observe the natural forms of flowers and trees. Regardless of seasons and distances, after more than a year of painstaking research, he painted flat reeds. Made a three-dimensional picture. This amazing initiative has been recognized by the society and experts. He is determined to teach disabled students and pass on the skills of reed painting. Awards: In December 2017, the three-dimensional reed painting "The Spring Festival" was entered into the permanent collection of the Art Museum for the Disabled. In 2019, the National Disabled Persons Network Spring Festival Gala Contest won the first prize in the art category and the opportunity to develop in Hainan Development Zone. There are 3D reed painting studios and teaching staff to pass on the skills of reed painting.
