The Institute of Pacific Bioorganic Chemistry of the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is one of the leading scientific research institutions in the Far East. The research objects of the institute are representatives of marine organisms (including microorganisms) and the unique flora of the Russian Far East that have attracted people's attention as a source of new natural compounds with special chemical structures and high biological activities.

The institute has been looking for new activators of biologically active metabolites, extracting various natural substances and determining their chemical structures, and studying the chemical properties and physiological activities of the substances.

The results of scientific research combined with the modern raw material processing technology used by the institute in its experimental production are used to develop new drugs, medical diagnostics, and biologically active food additives.

The research institute has obtained more than 20 scientific and technological achievements, most of which have been applied in production by different companies.
