Qiqihar was one of the anti-Russian military bases in the Heilongjiang Valley in the early Qing Dynasty. In the thirtieth year of Kangxi (1691), the city was officially established at Bukui Station and it is still called Qiqihar City. After the city was built, the city guard and deputy capital were initially established. In the 38th year (1699), the generals of Heilongjiang were moved to Qiqihar from Murgen City (now Nenjiang). In the thirty-third year of Guangxu (1907), the Qing government promoted the reform of the official system, abolished the generals of Heilongjiang and replaced them with governor of Heilongjiang. As the provincial capital, Qiqihar has a history of 255 years as the provincial capital. There were 76 Heilongjiang generals in the Qing Dynasty. During the 208 years when the Heilongjiang generals were stationed, Qiqihar City has always been the capital of Heilongjiang, the political, economic, and cultural center of the province, and the military center of my country's northeast frontier.
