Qiqihar City, also known as Bukui, is divided into two cities inside and outside. The inner city is square. In the eighth year of Guangxu, it was changed from Mucheng to brick city. There are four gates, Yingen in the south, Huaiyuan in the north, Chenghui in the east, and Pingding in the west. The outer city is an oblong Tucheng from north to south, with a circumference of 5900 meters. There are five gates, Bu Kui's first stop, and the southwest corner. One gate is called Xiaoxi Gate. The other four gates were also built with bricks and tiles in the eighth year of Guangxu. The four gates were Nanxun, Donghu, Beichao, and Xique. In the 30th year of Kangxi, the deputy governor of Mabudai supervised the construction. In 38th, the generals of Heilongjiang moved to station. It has been the political, military and cultural center of Heilongjiang Province until the Republic of China.
