The conventional air cooler takes ambient air as the cooling medium, strengthens the heat transfer outside the tube by expanding the heat transfer area of the finned tube, and takes away the heat by the temperature rise of the air after it sweeps across the finned tube, so as to cool and condense the hot fluid in the tube.
Air as a cooling medium is easily available; When dry air cooler is used, the site selection is basically not limited by water source; The air has low corrosivity, and no special scale removal measures are needed. As the pressure of air cooling is reduced, the operation cost is low; The maintenance cost of air cooling system is low, generally 20%~30% of water cooling; Small environmental pollution.
It is usually used where the terminal temperature of the medium is 10-15 ℃ higher than the ambient design temperature.
