On the 5th, the China (Heilongjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone's online promotion conference on economic and trade cooperation with Russia was held in Harbin. With the theme of "The Northernmost Pilot Free Trade Zone · New Heights of Open Cooperation", the promotion will further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Russia in the new era, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Heilongjiang Province and relevant Russian states and regions, and jointly promote Sino-Russian economic and trade cooperation. The trade volume of Heilongjiang Province with Russia accounts for about 50% of the province's total foreign trade and nearly one-fifth of the country's total trade with Russia. In the two years since the establishment of the Heilongjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone, with institutional innovation as the core, based on the unique advantages of Russia and border locations, it has actively promoted the transformation of government functions, the facilitation and liberalization of investment and trade, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and the innovation of financial development, which are attractive to market entities. At present, Sino-Russian relations are in the best period in history. As a major economic and trade cooperation province with Russia, Heilongjiang Province has unique geographical advantages and a good foundation for cooperation. As the northernmost pilot free trade zone in China, the Heilongjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone has actively benchmarked against advanced international experience since its official establishment in 2019, focused on building a new highland open to the north, building a central hub for cooperation with Russia and Northeast Asia, and actively serving construction New development pattern. In the past two years, the Heilongjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone has been adhering to the concept of openness and innovation, actively exploring and pioneering trials in trade with Russia, cross-border industries, scientific and technological research and development, and financial services, and has accumulated a large number of experience, practices and successful cases.
